Vodafone Ghana CEO, Patricia Obo-Nai honoured as ‘Marketing Woman of the Year’ at 34th CIMG Awards

Patricia Obo-Nai, the CEO of Vodafone Ghana, has received the esteemed title of ‘Marketing Woman of the Year 2022’ at the 34th Annual National Awards presented by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).

This prestigious event celebrated the outstanding marketing achievements of over 50 companies and individuals in 2022. The event’s theme, ‘Marketing: A Tool for Economic Recovery,’ emphasized the pivotal role of effective marketing in fostering the growth of companies, products, and philanthropic endeavors.

The commendation for Patricia Obo-Nai’s award acknowledged her leadership of an organization dedicated to building an inclusive and sustainable digital society, resulting in tangible improvements in people’s lives. Under her guidance, Vodafone Ghana introduced compelling offers during the award evaluation period, such as a 20-minute call to all networks and 1 GB of data for only 1 Ghana Cedi.

This strategic move led to a remarkable 5% month-on-month growth in data revenue and an impressive 35% annual increase compared to the previous year. Patricia’s exceptional ability to leverage marketing insights to create compelling offers has helped maintain a strong market presence.

Furthermore, her significant contributions to Ghana’s telecommunications industry, particularly through impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in education and healthcare, were lauded.

Responding to the accolade, Patricia Obo-Nai expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am deeply honored by this recognition. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team at Vodafone Ghana and all our valued customers for their unwavering support and dedication.”

With an impressive 23-year career in the telecommunications sector, Patricia Obo-Nai has been a guiding light in Ghana’s communications industry.

Her exceptional accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including the Outstanding Woman in Telecommunications at the African Women Awards 2023, Leadership Excellence Award in the Telecommunications Sector at the CEO Summit 2023, CEO of the Year at the Telecommunications Innovations and Excellence Awards 2022, and the Africa’s Most Respected CEO Awards in the Telecommunications Industry in Dubai, UAE, in 2021.
